Brock has been painting since 1981, building a catalogue of seven hundred fifty-plus finished oil paintings across landscapes, cityscapes, and abstracts, all sold directly from his studio rather than through a gallery.

Alongside his own compositions he paints interpretations after artists he admires, among them Milne, Kahn, Richter, and Eyre, reworking their language in his own hand and at his own scale.

Since 2000 he has also rented his paintings to home stagers, real estate agents, and homeowners, providing museum-quality oil on canvas to help sell a home. That work has grown to include corporate collections and private collectors.
